Thanksgiving with the Bollards

We were very blessed to have the entire family with us for Thanksgiving. Sam was on leave for the day from Vandenberg Air Force Base where he is currently stationed. Bill was in the middle of a thoughtful, lengthy prayer of Thanksgiving when someone noticed that our oven was on fire. The yams had ignited. The prayer was cut short and the fire was extinguished without permanent damage. Afterward, we loosened our belts and recovered from massive amounts of caloric intake. We are grateful for so many wonderful blessings, including the blessing of living in this country of freedom.

Sam is an U.S. Air Force Airman

Sam graduated from Basic Training at Lackland Air Force Base. It was a grueling 6 weeks but he came through with "flying colors." His Flight received honors recognition for its performance in the graduation parade. We are very proud of our Sam.
