Air Force Trainee Sam Bollard
Sam has finished his third week of basic training at Lackland Air Force Base near San Antonio, Texas. He was advised that he will be stationed at Vandenberg Air Force Base here in California. His mother is thrilled. He called and spoke to us yesterday. He sounds positive and confident. He sounded especially excited about learning how to care for his M-16. We are excited to think that his HALO video gaming skills might come in handy.

Farewell Cruise
Sam enlisted in the Air Force. We are very proud of him. After six weeks of basic training in Texas, he will be stationed in Vandenberg Air Force Base near Santa Barbara, California. He will be assigned to the satellite and missle division of the Air Force. We enjoyed a trip to our family's mission roots before sending him off.
